Sure. Just be sure that if you're selling this speaker you make no mention of that whatsoever. It's perfectly ok to ask: "...any opinions as to how much a scratch on the top of a Whiz-Bang S-2000 speaker would drop its value?...". Just don't add: "I'm curious because I'm selling it and I want to know how much less I'm going to get."
