I'm moving to a smaller home and I'm looking at placing bookshelf speakers (McIntosh XR50) on top of furniture/rack since I will not have room for speaker stands or floorstanding speakers.
What would you recommend that I use underneath the bookshelf speakers to prevent scratching the furniture...
I've tried several different "power controllers" and was never able to hear a difference in my system However, I settled for the AudioQuest Niagara 1000 for the sake of protecting my system at a reasonable price.

I connected mine via digital output coax to the built-in DAC of my MAC7200 and it sounds great.
I compared the coax to the optical and couldn't hear any difference. I never tried the analog output.

Yes, I was able to listen to the Sonetto V speakers before buying.
However, the speakers I had auditioned at my local McIntosh dealer were not in a black finish therefore, the black finish needed to be ordered.
After lots of research and auditioning, I ordered a pair of Sonus faber Sonetto V floorstanding speakers to use with my McIntosh MAC7200 stereo receiver.
They are scheduled to arrive in about two weeks.
