    What happened to HIFI Engine?

[Note time-stamp - 2017!] For the past few days HIFI Engine's and VINYLENGINE'S websites are unresponsive. Does anyone have any intel on what has happened?

    Bose 1801

Well I doubt that even this could do the trip in such a small time frame (+the gas bill would be exorbitant) http://www.dan-dare.org/Dan%20FRD/MeanMachineAni.gif Thanks but I doubt that I should undertake the process myself. My experience with electronics is close to zero.

    Bose 1801

Well the amp is located in Greece. I couldn't describe Washington to Athens as a one hour car trip. Thank very very much for your answers and for the threads you provided.

Hi everybody, My grandpa has a Bose 1801 (condition unknown). What would your judgement be on the device itself? Should I sell it and buy another amp?

The amp has dual outputs, two 8-16 Ω and two 800 Ω outputs. But speaking on the issue of sensitive speakers what would you recommend? http://medias.audiofanzine.com/images/normal/philips-ag-9018-815443.jpg

Anyone familiar with the Philips AG9018?

I recently realized that my grandpa owns a Philips AG9018 https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/philips/ag9018.shtml Apart from the value for a collector, how would you appraise it as an amp in acoustic terms? Will I need the 800 Ω Speakers or will the 8-16 Ω output work just fine?
