Can I use my Marantz 2270 receiver as a tuner in a separates system? If so, how can I patch the receiver into my preamp? Thanks.

I have a Fanfare FM-2G antenna (similar to Magnum Dynalab ST-2) and would like to mount it to the back of my stereo cabinet. Can I do this safely, or will I harm my equipment by mounting this antenna too close? How far do antennas like these have to be mounted from power supply & components? Thanks for your consideration.
