  • Well, I'm now the proud owner of a 1962 Empire Troubador 398. It looks great, it sounds great, and it is, generally speaking, bad-ass. Now I need some sage advice from the experts found only on Audiokarma:

1.) Is there, and how do I procure a proper dust-cover for my TT? Is it a 'cake-top' like I've seen on various Dual models, or was one built specifically for the Troubador 398?

    2. At some point, someone adhered a 'Dust-Bug' brush to the TT's spindle/motor cover-plate. The only remaining portion of the dust-bug is it's base, which is looking a bit beat-up, and protruding up with a sharp, scratchy pointed tip. I want to remove it, but I don't want to mar the TT's gold finish. Any ideas on how to best remove the glued rubber Dust-Bug mount, while protecting the Troubador's beautiful finish?

    Thank you in advance!
