    Not a lot of power should be needed to get result it the enclosure is well tuned to the driver. You are using a LAB12 if I read the thread correctly? If you have time (etc), trying a couple of different enclosures (even building prototypes in cheap OSB {as long as they are airtight}) might be...

    Hmmm I listened to some creative cards today (unaf. the X-Fi Xtreme Audio notebook is not for sale anymore (here?) ), and I didn't get a satisfacory level of performance, i.e. not much better than what the standard output on my laptop sounds like. This quest contintinues, thanks for the advice...
