I just came across this old thread. I've used Tim Schwartz from Bristol Electronics in Ho-Ho Kus, NJ.
He repaired a non-working Mac4100 receiver I bought at a flea market a few years ago. He's a certified tech for Mac and several other brands. At the time he didn't mark up the parts and only charged labor. Reasonably priced and does great work.
