Welcome to the Sansui Serial Number Database thread. The database now resides on Sansui Page in Digital Docs. You Can Access it here:

Sansui Serial Number Database
Please post new serial numbers in this thread. They will be uploaded to the database at least monthly, more often if needed.

When posting serial numbers please use this format:

Model,Serial Number,AK User Name
9090DB,827011234,LBPete
G-9000DB,818021234,AK User Name
AU-555A,581080009,AK User Name

No spaces but please place a comma between data points. The commas are important. List multiple serial numbers as indicated. Please do not add anything else. I have to delete it when I create the upload file.

This format is changed slightly from Paul's format but it's easier for me.

Nice collection jeromach. I've added them to the next upload. The G-22000, is it an amp or the tuner/preamp? Do you have both pieces?

- Pete

The G-22000 was a tuner/preamp - amp combi that I have worked on, but on the pics I made I can't read the serial # of the amp anymore, unfortunately.

I do not own that one, presently "only" the 350A, the 101's, the 505 and 555A, the 2200, 3900, 4900 and 5900 and some other amps that I have in storage of which I do not have the serials at hand (a.o. an AU-777A and AU-517).
Another thing I have and really like is a Sansui switch box (bigger/newer model). It doesn't have a serial # though.

The 9090DB that I'm talking about in the main Sansui forum that a friend was given came with a pair of SP-X8000

SP-X8000,908041241,Blue Shadow
SP-X8000,908041380,Blue Shadow

In my basement I had two more;

Seven,812070297,jeromach
AU-517,227102585,jeromach

That's a very unique serial number too. It's totally different that any other Sansui serial number on file. Can you post a picture of it in your original thread for reference?

Thanks,

- Pete

Will do Pete, it's actually RP 1212

9090db on CL here is 817033385

This is the 9090db that is used in scam CL ads in different parts of the US.

I think the speakers have some errors with the date codes, for example the SP-3005 was made in the early 70s, not the 80s as shown.

There are a number of year range mistakes in the data. It's a combination of the single digit year and in some cases a best case guess. There is much more information on the internet about these products now than when Paul set up the database in 2003 so I'm correcting the year ranges when I can confirm the actual dates. Right now, there is just one pair of those speakers on file. I'll change the date. Those are massive speakers, do you have a pair?
