I picked this up and it is really pretty clean, but it didn't have it's cage. I don't mind having one cut an put in place, but don't even know where to start looking. Any ideas? I'm excited to get this thing restored and listen to it.

Search for a supplier of perforated sheet metal. If you don't have one near you, there are several that sell online.

The cage for the HF-81 should be fairly simple to make as it involves cutting to size, and one 90-degree bend.

Your lucky. I just found one missing the knobs, the front bezel, and the perforated top panel. Everything else was there. Going to be quite the project.

I just finished one missing the cage and front bezel. 18ga 1/2" flattened stainless expanded metal made a good cage. I liked the idea it increased airflow, even though not exact visually. That size slipped right in the slots. SS is a little hard to bend, but clamping it to workbench, applying pressure and smacking it with a 2lb hammer at bend it was easy to get a nice bend.
