Atlanta GA Quad (UK Acoustical Mfg) tube mono system in console

Peter Walker's Acoustical Manufacturing Company (UK) copyrighted the acronym QUAD for Quality Amplifier Domestic long before anyone thought of four-channel for home use. All the electronics giants in the 1970s got an ugly surprise when they tried to market four-channel and found that "quad" was already taken.

Looks like they are doing a second round this weekend and that audio gear is still there.

The company running the sale was willing to presell the system at a premium, but they were unwilling to state what the sale price was, they stated they thought the speaker was a Bozak but were not certain, they were unwilling to take any additional photos, and they thought the system did not work. And the owner was still around at the house.

The company did not go any extra distance at all to answer any questions, and obviously well overpriced the system. I thought their approach was pitiful, and the market reaction supported my feeling.
