Hello I just joined today and love the old valve radio sound. My collection includes mostly Australian radios from 1934 to the mid 50s, I have a beautiful 1936 Pilot tombstone from New York and a couple of telefunken 1932 models.

Hello and many thanks for these impressive pictures. My oldest radios are a 1935 FADA "1462" ( made in New York, most likely the only one in Europe) and a 1932 SABA "311WL".

Enjoy your stay here! :)

Welcome to the AK community! Beautiful radio collection! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

A big howdy from Texas and welcome to the AK forums. Nice collection you have there.

Thank you all. These old radios have a certain presence that the modern ones will never have and restoring these old radios that have not worked for nearly 50 years brings a sense of pride.

Ah, the home of the great Duntech Sovereign... Welcome aboard! I'm in the midst of restoring a '37 deForest Crosley Saturn. I've got the wood work done but the lump is still at the techs being restored. Somewhere along the line the lump was totally molested and modded... So he's trying to put it back to as close to original spec as possible...
Wow what a beauty. Yes it's always a difficult job fixing other people's mistakes. I can usually fix a unmolested set fairly easily. Take a look at the rust on this one. 3 millimeters of rust all the way through yet I got it working. It never worked at all because one of the original caps was installed backwards.

Love the older gear! They had...character.

Really like that one primitive unit with the single control.

You're a fit m'8.
