What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Thats dead on, no guessing other peoples tastes , and comfort zones. In the purest sense however I was only reffering to one person at a time and certainly not all those at large...I worked in a no fun or music scene around alot of much olderand boring men for many years and it was mentally a drain every day...

I can see how that would be!

There's an office partner on the other side of my cubicle wall who plays news radio all day long. She keeps the volume low, but even so, the constant prattle in the background is irritating. Thus, my buds... I also have the benefit of opting to work in a "secret" vault due to the confidentiality of my work, and I take the utmost advantage of that perk.

Following up from the new Riverside, here is one of the bands that Maciej Meller came from, Quidam. This is another Polish Prog Band very similar to Riverside but including to Flute, Violin and other percussion. PQ and SQ are really decent for this full concert video and Maciej is much more comfortable with his own music. I never heard this band until now and will be seeking out more of this dreamy beautiful Prog.

All I can say is Awesome! I worked my way thru this whole 2 hour concert here at work off and on. The Video is great but the music and sound is stellar for Youtube. I will be ordering some of this bands disks and will also stream this thru my OPPO and main rig later on.

I find it interesting that many Non-English speaking bands write and perform most of their songs in English. I guess because it goes further around the world with Universal language.
Last Track in this show is Wish You Were Here.

I am so happy to have stumbled on to this band this morning. There is so much good music yet to be discovered by me.

And on to an oldie but goodie. I can remember taping this concert from the TV into my new Panasonic Tape Recorder as a child when this show aired on Don Kirsner's Rock Concert.

That's like Christmas and your Birthday all rolled into one. Love clear and colored vinyl. Those red Dave Brubeck album's of Christian's are incredible.
I'm a total sucker for colored vinyl - especially anything clear or translucent. There have been times when I bought something I wasn't a hundred percent sure was going to be any good, only because it was on colored wax that I knew would look beautiful on my acrylic platter.

I love my weekly work at home day. A break from the commute traffic. A chance to work outside in the fresh air (ain't wifi great). A long list of things to listen to while I work.

Today's playlist includes all or part of the following, depending on how many I can get to. Here's the plan anyway.

My two LCD Soundsystem LPs (This is Happening and Sound of Silver)
CAN ~ the green vegetable LP
Suicide ~ s/t
Changesonebowie
Talking Heads ~ Speaking in Tongues
The Beatles ~ Revolver
David Bowie ~ Lodger
Mars ~ LP
PiL ~ Metal Box
Guerrilla Toss ~ Flood Dose

I have to go with the flow - you're organized.
