My wife is making my favorite meal tonight. It's a five alarm chili with scallops added and served over angel hair. I know it sounds weird (trademark) but it's really good. It does however make my mouth burn. Speaking of burning mouths, I am now listening to another of yesterday's haul. The Flaming Lips...At War With The Mystics. BTW, I trademarked weird (trademark), so now it's my club and you guys have to beg me to join. So there!

I missed everyone here last week. Not only was I away from my cave, but was also working nights. After getting my body to function between 5am and 9:30pm, it was a killer. Now I'm off work sick, and have PLENTY of time for the thread.

I'm not really one to yap on about gear. I have some pretty good gear, but the only intention is to shake the air between my speakers and my ears.
However, I have to say that I now understand what the big deal is concerning Nakamichi cassette decks. I read earlier that the company aims for the best sound output at the expense of bells and whistles. I hooked up my new purchase to my Yamaha HT receiver, which plays through Martin Logan Motion series speakers. The sound is incredible, considering the Yamaha is horrible with my electrostats. It simply lacks the power to drive them properly.

Love that album. IMO, Vincent is one of those pieces of music that is simply perfection. I could listen to it all day.
