Jumping from Sansui to Bryston or similar, who's done it?

Hello,

I'm reflecting a little on my audio journey so far, and i feel like I've progressed quite naturally over the years without getting too silly with money - economically bettering my system bit by bit as i come across lucky finds.

However I've got a pair of B&W 802 Series 80 now and i can't help but wonder how a more expensive power amplifier, for example a Bryston 4B SST would perform in my system.

I've been caught up in the Sansui magic for a few years now and still am - but curious to hear from anyone else who's been down this path already.

Thanks!

That's why some people have a reference system, and then a bunch of vintage units to play it sometimes, which are awesome, but not always on the same league.
That been said, maybe you could look for separates (BA/CA) in Sansui, but there is a LOT of great brands there.
If you decide for the separates, I have noticed that the preamp is vital to get the sound that you like. Good thing that you already have the speakers.
This thing is a endless journey sometimes
