Would anyone have an idea of the worth of a Kyocera Pl 910 turntable.Very good condition.Been in storage for years..It has the arm with a needle, don't know what brand. Thanks for any info.,Ron (homeflyr)

Any info. about this turntable would be appreciated.I don't really know much about its worth, but I realized it should not be in storage,it should be enjoyed by someone.I had received this year's ago when I was getting into vinyl, put it in storage and never got to use it for different reasons.

I would love a PL-910 ... I'm a former Kyocera employee and I always wanted the 910. It's a Micro-Seiki table with an amazing Kyocera ceramic platter. Back in the 80's I got to hang with some of the guys working on the Kyocera audio products. The Kyocera tables were very special.

I'd love to take it off your hands for very special, personal reasons.

Not many people start at the top when they get into vinyl. The PL-910 is a "top of the line" Japanese STATEMENT turntable rare about 150 mfg very expensive when new add on an equally good tonearm and cartridge no info on recent sales $5,000 would probably be on the light side when your talking statement tables which can go for $10,000 and higher. OP might have to check Japan for high end audio sellers for estimate, HiFido might be able to help.

Some pictures of the tone arm and the cartridge would be very helpful. :)

I'm a big Kyocera fan. Bought their 651 receiver in 1982 and still have it. The 910 is considered one of the best TTs ever made. There's one on the bay at $5000 from Mexico right now.

From Vinyl Engine:
Description
The PL-910 is not only top of the Kyocera turntable line, it will stand in audio history as one of the finest turntables ever built.

It incorporates the most up to date technology and materials to accomplish the age old goal of all turntable designers: rotational stability and resonance free performance.

Consideration has been given to every last detail in the manufacture of this masterpiece, down to the actual construction materials themselves.

The platter, for example, has been manufactured of fine ceramics, to be precise alumina ceramics, proven to possess hardness qualities close to those of diamond, and vibration attenuating characteristics far superior to conventional materials such as ordinary aluminium.

This fine ceramic platter is placed in full planar contact with an aluminium subplatter of a different resonance frequency, thereby dramatically reducing unwanted resonances.

Although the PL-910 is equipped with a heavily damped, powerful DC servo brushless motor, the actual drive is via a belt to remove any last possible doubt concerning rotational stability.

Specifications
Type: belt drive, double float suspension

Revolutions per minute: 33 and 45

Platter: 3.6kg, 300mm, almina ceramic

Subplatter: 1.4kg, 260mm, aluminium

Wow and flutter: 0.025% WRMS

Signal to noise ratio: 78dB

Dimensions: 455 x 190 x 392mm

Weight: 20kg

Thank you very much for all this info!

I don't know the value, but I'll guess "lots". That is :beatnik:

Edit: HiFi Shark sold listings put it from $2500 - 3000.

Amazing ...

Anyone know what arm that is? I have seen a couple PL-910s up close and they are tanks. Another one of those missed opportunities back in the 80's that I still kick myself for. I was working for Kyocera when they dropped their audio line - could have picked one up for pennies on the dollar. The QA manager had one and for years I tried to purchase it from him. He bought it to make a profit and never pulled it out of the box. I offered him $1000 and he wouldn't commit, he wanted $1200. That was a ton of money for me at the time so I had to let it go. Wonder if it's still sitting in the box somewhere.

Where is the turntable located?
