How about we all share what we are using to power our Klipsch Loudspeakers

Cornwall Deuces with CJ classic preamp and Luxman 3045s...started with modified magnavox 9302...up next will be a chorus of scott integrateds. Cornwall has b3 crossovers...will swap in ALK setup soon.

SAE A 501 amp, 250 WPC pushing my Chorus IIs, last Saturday night I cranked out a whole quarter watt! We were crazed.

Eico Hf-81 pushing Walnut Forte II with titanium diaphragm and freshened crossovers. Sencondary system is an Eico Hf-85 with a Bob Latino vta st-70 with either Chorus II or Forte I depending on my mood. Both have fresh crossover rebuilds too.

Benchmark AHB2. Lowest noise (nothing else even comes close) lowest distortion amp on the market and the sound is superb. Load invariant all switching supplies astounding power and dynamics smooth open detailed. So far as I know nothing equals it so why not own the very best in existence? I expect that the AHB2 is the best amp in the world. Peter Walker came up with the current dumping design Benchmark perfected it. You have to hear this amp and then once you do all doubts you may have had evaporate.

Those are the KLF-20's. I completely re-braced and re-glued those cabinets. The Crites XO and Ti in the tweeter. There's a thread here on the rebuild. I have to admit, they are kinda large for my house. Looks like you have a set as well - have you checked for loose baffles?

Yes. Everyone complains about the baffles but mine seem to be holding up. Guess I'm just lucky. Thought about getting crites but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I have the KLF-30s. I bought them new when they came out, and over the years the front and rear started to rattle. Last year I removed the baffles and then glued them up, and also glued 3/4" strips the full length of the cabinets. Then I put screws in the strips. They aren't going anywhere now! I installed Crites Ti tweeter diaphragms and bought Ti mid diaphragms from SS. To me they sound better than ever.

I'm very happy with the ALK networks in my Forte's.

KG4s shoved by a Luxman R-1050

jr149_lux_kyoc.jpg

Ah, the R-1050, one of the few pieces I've ever regretted parting with. It was a necessary parting, though sad.

I'm powering mine with a Jolida JD-302BRC with output tubes upgraded to EH KT-88. Best tubes I've heard for rock.

Other gear is as in the sig below.

Since my 8080DB is a little overkill for my KG2s, I just found the parts to fix a Sansui TU666 tuner that I can couple with an AU505 and put them together. I have KG4s or Cornwalls for the 8080DB.

JVC RX 903V for the Khorns
JVC RX 884VBK for the Belles
Not a lot of info on JVC out there. I ended up with a JVC_AX-90-VBK when I bought a Sansui TU417 tuner to go with my AU417. There were also a pair of JBL L80T speakers - all for $75.

I soon discovered that the JVC is no slouch. Right now it's out in the warehouse hooked up to a pair of Electrovoice "Dominators", but once we get moved I want to try it with my different Klipsch to see how it does.

Klipsch quartets currently stock but about to add Crites Ti diaphragms and new Crites crossovers.

Pioneer elite VSX-45 80wpc

various M's and K's, in my sig as well:

5 channel: RP-250F's, RP-440C, RP-240S's driven by Marantz AV7702MKII/MM7055

FISHER X-101-B, KM-60, Dual 1249 (V-15-III). Pushing Heresy I or Early II in BLACK. (1981)
