Gun Porn

Ahhh, my people.

Just acquired a brand new turkish made .45, a Tisas. Have yet to shoot it.

Also in the house, a Model 13 .357, a nice .22 with scope, and my late grandfather's Browing Sweet 16 (1954 model) and his hunting partner, my late father's own 1967 model Sweet 16. Both Belgian made.

That`s a classic firearm....hope you find a nice one !

Back in the heydays of government surplus auctions (80s and 90s), they occasionally got rid of parts for that gun. The main part they made you destroy was the barrel. A friend of mine had a scrap contract at one of the bases, and he and his workers took a shear to the site and destroyed hundreds if not thousands of mini-gun barrels and BMG barrels.

They have since changed the demil codes on almost all gun parts, and none can be removed from a base without destroying them first. That being said, heaven knows how many parts are still buried in warehouse of some of the old surplus dealers.

Nelson Custom .22 slide designed by Bob Marvel. It could be the finest .22 that Bob has been involved in to date.

Happy birthday to my m1917 enfield (eddystone).100 years old and still a tack driver.Heres a short read of how they came about.Interesting little bit was how soldiers of the day were expected to hit a man sized target at 1000 yards with open sites and the m1917 was good at that.http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_enfield_p14_m1917.html
Last year when we were cleaning out the closet after my mother in law died, we found a Winchester 1917 bayonet in its leather sheath. Turns out it is for the 1917 Enfield. No one knows where the bayonet came from, wish I had the rifle to go with it.

Cleaned up my uncle's Colt woodsman for him. It was in pieces when I got it.View attachment 1128865
That is a nice Series Two Match Target Woodsman, seems in really good condition, it is worth some coin.
I inherited a Series Two Target Woodsman (the round 6" barrel), it is a tack driver, far more accurate than I am, but still fun to shoot.
