OLD SCHOOL AU-717

I am glad that I bought an AU-717 and an AU-707 recently and both were recapped and glue removed.

I wish he would have had it restored and then compared it to the insanely expensive garbage.

He did acknowledge that they should be rebuilt.

He even has a decent cost estimate on the rebuild.

I have an AU717 and AU719 that I plan on both rebuilt. Then my AU417.

Should work well with my Klipsch KG4s, Cornwalls, and Khorns.

AU-717 and TU-717, what an awesome combo! And a pair of L100s, Magnificent!

Spent a lot of fun times wandering Pacific Stereo, and especially, the Federated Group!

I got stupid one night after pulling a double shift and won a au717 that had been rebuilt.
I thought for sure it would be a half ****ed rebuild, but it arrived and it looked like someone
did a pretty comprehensive job of it. I had moved across the country, and my speakers
we left at my son's house. I did have stax headphones and an adapter box, so I was able
to listen and was pretty happy with it. Forward 1 1/2 years I re-bought a house and got my
speakers. IT sounds great with my proacs. I did add a set of 5 way speaker posts for the "a"
output. Not quite as good as my tube preamp and McCormack amp, but close enough
The whole JBL l100 thing, had them for 20 years, and bought another set a few years ago.
Fun rock speaker, but outclassed by most modern speakers. And at current prices
the used proacs were priced the same, so the l100's went. The proacs stayed.
The Sansui will be sitting here for years to come.
