Yeah those caps tend to fail. At least it didn't explode. Good luck with the new caps

My understanding is that this cap is a dual 2uF cap essentially working as a 4uF cap since both red wires were going to the same place.
I replaced with two 2.2 uF caps in parallel just to test and make sure everything else was working.
I also wanted to see if it made a noticeable difference sending a little more mids to the tweeter by raising the cap value slightly.
They sound quite good now.
I'll most likely order some proper replacement caps, spiffy up the outsides and decide if i want to treat the surrounds.
They're definitely sounding better than they did when I got them.

Parts Express, Parts Connection, Mouser , Digi-Key all good for parts. Could get Film or Electrolytic caps for the replacements.

I've had good luck with Parts Express.
I have a pair of A/D/S L520s that could stand a recap as well. I just need to pull them apart and see what is needed and place one order.

I'd never seen a cap split apart like this one.
