I didn't replace the 500uf 50v cap when I recapped the rest of the amp . I want to use the 2505 now as every day player in horizontal bi-amp setup. The cap is original so I think I should replace it now. I have on hand a 680uf 63v PW cap or a 560uf 63v KZN (United Chem ?). I like the PW cap but I want to check in before I change anything. This cap C 79 ,the polarity is wrong on the schematic .What do you think ? Thanks

Hello calman46

I will recommend you to double check your serial number and the service manual you are using to refix your amplifier .

This cap C 79 ,the polarity is wrong on the schematic

There is 14 differents service manuals for this unit and if you are reading the wrong one , you will get problems

I have an original SM that came with the amp . The SM starting with SN# 36K00 my amp is 61K64. The schematic has the + of C79 on the negative 40v filtered. I recapped it years ago with no problems . I did up the value to 680uf 63v .
