Mystery Turntable ID

Looks just like my Pioneer PL-41, that's my guess. Very nice table, it's worth it, depending on the asking price and condition, of course.

Actually, now that I look at it, maybe not a PL-41, very similar. The arm and dust cover look slightly different, but I picked mine up in Japan so it may be a little different than the American version.

It's got anti-skate. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that makes it a PL-50.
Very similar to the PL-41.
Imo, a very nice TT.

Looks like a kitchen sink but interesting question.
I'm thinking that was the first open space when it made it home.
Perhaps place of initial cleaning

Really don't know if it's worth pursuing without knowing price, cartridge, and functionality . Nice table.

I don't see a direct counterpart on that list for what was sold in the U.S. as the [pre-1980] PL-50.
None of the Japanese PL-41 variants appear to have anti-skate.

Seller says it doesn’t power on, but I think it is worth a shot for $5.
Yeah, mine "didn't power on" either, until I put a new belt on it! The platter won't turn without a belt, so people think there is no power, the motor is absolutely silent. For $5 I wouldn't even have to think about it...great deal!
