I really like their first two records. A lot of people didn't appreciate how complex their songs were. They used a different tuning for almost every song. "Mister Golden Deal" is an awesome song.

Have you listened to the acoustic remake of lemon parade? They re-released it a while back. It's really good.

That song was my introduction to Steve Miller years before the mainstream knew who he was. It was on one of those WB compilation albums. Also on it we're his "Song For Our Ancestors", Bob Seger's "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" and Quicksilver's "Pride Of Man". Wish I could find that record again.

Oh it's bad, that's one of my all time fave albums. I use to listen to it every day on my way home from work singing along at my full volume the entire way stick in traffic. It's really well done. Down a hole can be played on loop in my place all day long... damn it!! Now your making me want to change formats... lol

U. Kracker, A.K.A.Matt Shafer, he is a pretty nice guy, big Social Distortion fan, lives not to far from me , him and his brother owned a small bar in town, my buddy bounced there, chatted music a few times, always quick with the free beers....a true gentleman! LOL.
