Though our Navy is a shadow of what it used to be, it is comforting that you are on 'our side' and out there protecting the rest of the free World.

Some of the best traditions of the US Navy were “appropriated” from the Royal Navy. Also two of the most important innovations in naval aviation were invented by the UK: the steam catapult to launch aircraft, and the angled flight deck to allow for safe landings.

We have the most capable aircraft carriers ever built but the Royal Navy roots are very prominent.
