Undoing the **WORST** DIY "mod" ever...! UPDATE: Audio Classics to the rescue!!

I got a short email this morning from Ryan, at A.C....

"Oh boy, does this thing look and sound sweet!"

And he included a few pictures...:

She lives again... and she's a beauty-- if I do say so myself...!

An amazing amount of thanks to George & Ryan... they truly pulled this one out of the hat!

Amazing work, specially the intricate switch wiring and lacing.
They even riveted the RCA jacks!

The Hayseed Hamfest cans are my favorite also.

Enjoy, I bet she sounds fabulous!

Wow....

Those are tone controls from a 7t.... but it’s all good in the end.

Jk

Yeah-- I think George decided that he didn't have to rewire those after all. Someone else that I had previously brought the project to had mused out loud about the possibility of doing that. I'm guessing that means that the signal at that point doesn't have enough voltage behind it to require the higher value caps and resistors.

Interesting.
