Some more updates...
It's here, up and running, and sounding great! Stock alignment is perfect, VTF is spot on at 1.75 gm, table is level, the ground wire stripped off the supplied IC's, using WW Oasis 7 IC's.
This TT is dead silent. No hum, no rumble, rock solid speed. And this Ortofon 2M Red does in fact sound excellent. I'm sure it'll sound better as it gets some hours on it, and it'll be accumulating quite a few hours throughout the day. As it is, I put about 5 hours on it last night after work!
And the master bedroom system got an update... I swapped out the old Pioneer Elite receiver for the newer Onkyo receiver I used to have in the main system because it has HDMI inputs. The Pioneer didn't. I added the Luxman into the mix with an old NAD 9200 cart. Teresa has been bugging me for a while for a TT, so now she has one, and loves it! I need to get another cart though. That old NAD is muddy as heck! I'm going to swap it out today with a barely used Linn K5 cart.
