I'm totally not into modern artists or modern rock, but listening to this entire album (which I've owned for about 3 years without listening to it) these guys are really good. Reminds me of a modernist version of Violent Femmes mixed with Psychedelic (they use some distinct distortion which takes some time to get used to). This distortion made me check my stylus and amp a couple times, but eventually got used to it and understood it's complexity. I'd recommend anyone who's into newer College Rock (btw, they're from Louisiana). Two-Headed boy and the following song is a good one to introduce yourself to on youtube.

Having a serious listen to it now. I've played it several times but never really LISTENED to it.

I have it - bought it new when it emerged - but cannot remember how it sounds. Maybe I'll Youtube it for a listen as I haven't my own digital rip handy (I no longer spin vinyl or CDs, play tape, etc.).
