The Anti-Classic Rock Playlist

Check out "Don't Lay no Boogie Boogie On The King Of Rock And Roll". Long rap at the beginning to set the song up.

That song actually got some airplay (on the East coast at least). That's how I discovered him. His album, It Ain't Easy, had Baldry's old buddies Rod Stewart and Elton John each produce a side of the LP with Ron Wood and Sam Mitchell helping out. Black Girl, an old folk song, is a favorite of mine with the female vocals performed by Maggie Bell of Stone the Crows.

I've found myself strangely attracted to more obscure early 70's rock recently. Case in point, Alvin Lee and Mylon LeFevre's On the Road To Freedom LP. which I purchased on a whim and absolutely love.

These may have got played back in the day i don't know. Never heard them on the Radio. Even the Neil Young and Crazy horse doesn't get played enough.
Here is a bonafide classic ballad that really should get played..
