Hi, I'm Maarten. I'm from the Netherlands. Joined couple of days ago because I'm about to restore a kenwood KA-4002. Already got helped a bunch by dlucy!

I just started to listen to vinyl. I missed the turntable sound from my dad's record player in my youth, which wasn't in the heyday of vinyl btw but in the 80's :). So I bought a (cheap) Garrard turntable and I'm picking up records here and there. Next up is restoring this amp. I felt that something was missing from the ease of casting spotify to my chromecast audio thru the house. I just want to put in the effort of setting up a record, sit down and taking the time to listen, if that makes sense. But it better sound good then ( qualitywise) !!

Hey Maarten, welcome to AK.
There's lots of friendly, knowledgable, enthusuasts here to assist you on your vinyl quest.
The items that will make the most difference to your vinyl sound initially, are probably your cartridge and phono stage.
Good luck.

Dave
