Lurker, and now member hoping to learn more about enhancing my musical experiences thru vintage equipment. I have always loved the tactile feel of old receivers and have loved the warmth that comes with them. Now in my mid 40s I may be able to find and buy some of these cool units to play with and hopefully learn a bit!!
I just picked up a SCOTT 477 - that I was told worked from reputable local shop (didn't work as prescribed) so I will be working with them on hopefully fixing it.
I also have a realistic STA 790 that I will need to tear into (right channel not working among other issues)
Right now I only have some Definitive Bp8s to play around with other than some modern Polk towers....so speaker education will be on my list.
Wish me luck to not totally go broke chasing that elusive perfect sound!
