A little behind here...

1. I usually spin albums Side 1, then Side 2. Occasionally "rinse and repeat" and very occasionally Side 1, Side 1, Side 2, Side 2 if it's super good.
2. I'm not dogmatic about LP vs. CD. I have lots of both and enjoy both very much.
3. Never really been a Marantz fan (sorry), but I do loves me some blue lights/meters (of a different flavor).
4. I also thought about being a radio announcer "DJ" and if Billy gets a 25w FM transmitter (!) he'll be getting calls from the FCC immediately!

There, all caught up!

Whew! That was well done.

This is probably my favorite of the Jazz Messengers records. Yet, even as I type that 3 others pop into my memory. Still, a top notch record. What shape is the vinyl in?

I have to admit that those Buddy Rich Tonight Show appearances turned me off to the point that I avoid Rich recordings (don't own any). Just personal taste, and he was a great drummer, but the TV segments came across as loud and bombastic IMO.
