Scored in very good condition a HMA 7500mk11 (for $50) and I would like to get it restored and where possible improve on existing components.
I was hoping to obtain some advice and recommendations from AK members with skills in this area so when I talk the tech I can engage in a dialogue about options suggested. This one is going to be a keeper so I don't mind making an investment.
In addition, I was also hoping for some advice on the Hitachi HCA 7500mk, good pre amp (read comments; bland, flat, uninspiring....) what about the HCA 8500 or are there some recommendations for better. Temporarily using a Kenwood C1 until a M1 or M2 comes along.
If I were to get another HMA can they be used as mono blocks?
