Fisher 500c 800c export TX 991C115 Power Transformer

Any members in Britain, Germany or other parts of Europe who have a Fisher 500c or 800c export receiver and can tell me the no.s on the side of the power transformer?

Thanks! Dan

Danl; Do you have an export model? If so what's the # on the transformer. Any other differences from a domestic model?? And how about some pic's!

check with member BHAMHAM. I'm not sure if he has one or not, but he just moved back to the states from "merry ol' england".

Nope, don't have one but worked on an export model when I was there - couldn't figure out why the voltages were so low when hooked up to a 110v source. It took a lot of head scratching and researching to finally realize that Fisher made a 220v PT. Rare as rare can be and I scoured the countryside looking for Fisher gear for a few good years. If people have them they're hanging on to them. There's a lot of Fisher gear in the UK but mostly for US 110v and folks just use a step-down transformer.

I would try asking on the UK Vintage Radio Forum:

How's your German? My guess is there would be more there as I believe they were sold to US soldiers from the PX that were stationed there in the 1960s. You might google for German audio sites and ask. Most Germans know English so you should be able to post in English.

Hope you find one.
