I did my KLH-23s that way with no problems back in 2013, and the surrounds are fiber with a soft butyl coating.

KLH has a service bulletin about that.

Sony PS-4300 Q104 Connection:

If you look at the schematic ( https://www.vinylengine.com/ve_downloads/index.php?sony/sony_ps-4300_service_1976_complete.pdf ), you can see that Q104 is right in the feedback path for speed regulation.

It's under test load again, and if it continues to snap, crackle, and pop I'll tackle the problem children on the control amp (AWG-032), which includes more Sanyo caps and 2SA725s and 2SC1312s. The only remaining trouble-makers would be the few 2SC1451s on the AWS-082 switch board.

The main amp board (AWH-041) needed to have the 2SA726s (a.k.a., noisy little SOBs) replaced. I also replaced the Sanyo "sky blue" e-caps with Nichicons.

I was looking at a pair Altec lansing Maestro M-500 for $500 what do you think?

Are you wanting high end expensive speakers or high end economical speakers? I have 4 pair of Frazier F12-4H speakers. 2 pair I refinished, 2 I have not yet. These speakers are the best I have ever heard with a tube amp. I see you're in Illinois, I'm north of Evansville Indiana.

Hi Jonny, I am good, but I am so busy last two three months, so I have not so many free time to work on Sansui... Now, at my bench is one AUX1 which has not been in the good condition, but now it is in much better condition. I am working on it about three months, OK with some breaks of three or four days, when I must bee on my duty...

You see, I am not so often on AK...
