Please check them out, the oldest 5000a I saw on the audio karma owners list was Aug. 1969.
Guess I may have a very early one, my serial # was 229091873.
Works really nice and no excessive heat production, I shot the heat sinks on the back with my IR thermometer and they were reading 105-111 degrees F.

I saw a post you made regarding a Sansui 5000a and "black IC's on the FM board". Not sure what the significance of these parts are but I'm curious.
I would like to send some pics I took after I opened it up but don't see an attachment method on this post.
