  • Hi. Opting out of things during Windows setup doesn't remove them. The only way to get rid of the bloatware is to go to add remove as soon as Windows is finished setting up. That will let you remove the crap. I suggest doing it before you add your preferred software.

    Yes, Joe and appreciate your note. I think I got rid of most of it by, like you mentioned, going into add/remove programs. The new Office I wasn't sure at first about so I left it and that became the issue as any Word document I opened wanted to be opened in the new software. I don't remember how I finally fixed that but it was stubborn, that's for sure.....
