I have taken it apart a couple of times.

When I press the cueing button, the belt starts turning and the gears turn, but nothing happens. When I press it again, nothing happens, it keeps turning. The only way to get it to stop is to hit the power button.

I know! I've got two plain SL1700s that perform flawlessly. Why they complicated the cueing mechanism is a mystery.
