Amazon has the Polk Monitor 65-Ts on Prime day for $280. Worth it?

Found one at a local pawn, asking $249. Very clean unit, front looks very pristine. Sure I could get it for $200 plus tax. I know this is a unit must later in their history and not as collectible as some. Is that worth it?

I need a power cord for a 4010 series. It looks like the female end of a 2 plug extension cord could be trimmed down to work. Is this doable? And do I need to be careful about the polarity of the plug?
