Well I have a similar question but a different noise. Not the usual "click" on power on but on a new MA5200 I'm getting very faint "thud" through the speakers. Thoughts?

Yeah crazy enough it is true. The box was factory sealed on both ends with the McIntosh factory tape so I was definitely the first one to open it. My dealer certainly didn't have anything to do with this. They're in contact with Mc now working on getting me a replacement.
