One of those "bad" modified speakers disasters. Worth like10X less than what it is up for. https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/speakers-with-questionable-upgrades-post-your-findings-here.835402/page-132#post-16619916
Found this lxlreight. http://www.manuals.group/results.php?search=LUXMAN%20RV%20357%20SERVIC Just found the website. Check it out before you download the manual. Welcome to AK.
Sorry about the fire. Hope no one got hurt. Been there myself. You can look for other threads on cleaning gear. Found one. https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/cleaning-dirty-equipment.192468/ Like your avatar. Good luck.
Was trying to find this photo. The Mission's i had to recap had no high's till i recapped both. Capacitance reading was high. But the ESR of the caps was in the ohms values. Thus no real output to the tweeters.
I would replace all the electrolytics. The red and black especially. Check out this thread. https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/what-kind-of-capacitors-are-these.507746/ in speakers. The black and red caps can fail real bad.
Recheck your wiring just in case. Check each wire for continuity end to end. Make sure the caps are in the correct spots on the crossover. Wiring the caps in series gives a total capacitance 1/2 of the 2 caps. Wiring in parallel gives a total of both caps values . Photos and labels of each wire...
Yes it could. Bad solder joints could screw it up. Have seen that in new production. Work for a local electronics manufacturer. (40 yr). Temp controls, temp sensors type stuff. I would go thru all the solder joints to make sure and reflow all joints that don't look good for leaded solder.
