As stated by drjim, I also keep all the hardware such as screws, washers,, nuts, etc. from old VCR's and other units that I have scrapped over the years. I have a tobacco tin full of them and it's been a savior many a time.

As stated by avionic, 20Mhz is more than enough for what you want to do. If budget is a factor, check your local second hand stores or online for a used scope. Get a 2 channel one, makes such as Tektronix, Philips, and leader are good makes.

Stay away from this ebay seller known as Captain Fantastic and HiFiaudio on ebay. A crook and dishonest person. Doesn't supply instructions with his McIntosh C11 re-cap kits. He charges big money for inferior parts and does not support what he sells. Ebay should kick this fraud off their platform!

Yes MACKIE1975, it was purchased from HifIAudio on ebay by the owner of the C11.

Also I should add, he purchased a second kit from C TECH ELECTRONICS that has the proper big can electrolytic caps instead of what appears to be a series of caps intended for re-capping by stuffing them into the original cap cans.

Actually it's a friend of mine who owns the C11, and yes MACKIE1975, he purchased the "kit" from HifiAudio seller on ebay for big $$$. He told me that he then tried to email them to get the instructions and got into an argument with them which ended badly, hence, he didn't get the instructions...

I have a McIntosh C11 preamp and want to install a mod kit purchased on ebay. It is a mod kit for a complete re-capping, and power supply up-grade. It didn't come with instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would prefer to get away from using the exposed foam cushions and get replacements that I don't have to replace every few years and are also easy to clean. There must be someone who knows of another ear cushion that will fit.
