    Marantz 4400 testing of voltages

Thanks for the advice! I'm confident in measuring high voltage. I have the appropriate tools and all. My only concern is I don't want to ground to the wrong location and end up harming the amp. Since the P900 board is not grounded to the chassis directly, I'm not sure where to ground to measure...

    Marantz 4400 testing of voltages

Hello everyone! First-time poster here. I've been doing very minor repairs to amplifiers for some time now. Nothing too serious. I've recently endeavored to repair a Marantz 4400 with a non-functioning scope. I've rebuilt the power supply and I'm about to re-wire the scope to be compatible...

    Early Jim Lansing by Ampex N 801 (Serial #99), 150 4C (Serial # 184) and horn

This particular horn has a 3 bolt pattern. I guess that eliminates some drivers? PXL_20210812_203834361 by mcoluccio posted Aug 12, 2021 at 4:44 PM

    Early Jim Lansing by Ampex N 801 (Serial #99), 150 4C (Serial # 184) and horn

I just found the same horn sold on "that" auction site back in 2010. It was paired w/ an Ampex 275 34 driver.

    Early Jim Lansing by Ampex N 801 (Serial #99), 150 4C (Serial # 184) and horn

It's cast aluminum and you can see in one of the photos it says Ampex d-8973 (sorry for labeling the photo). A search comes up with a couple of images of that horn. Not a super common horn for sure.

That's for all the info! I'll have a look into getting the speaker cone fixed by a pro.

Hello everyone, I figured I'd share some images of a recent purchase from a movie theater in NJ. I also have a few questions for you Lansing experts out there as I've been having trouble finding information on these pieces. My questions are as follows... 1: Are these the original enclosure? I...
