Looking for some advice on the best way to get my MX 114 Tuner Preamp singing clearly again.. The Volume pot like many older units is worn, and isn't accurate until above 11oclock on the dial. I have flushed and exercised t with Deoxit, but no luck. Im hoping someone might know of a viable...

    Q Jr Questions

I'm going to take a shot here at understanding a bit more about matching the MCM woofers currently in the Jr's until i can find a more suitable replacement or originals. Firstly, Thank you swechsler for the basic education that's surely going to make my life much more difficult, but more...

    Q Jr Questions

Hello all. I'm new to Infinity, but not new to nice speakers. I just picked up a pair of Q Jr's ( inexpensive) and have a few questions. Firstly, the Woofers have been replaced with an 8 OHM MCM Audio dual VC 55-1465. Is this an appropriate replacement or were the originals a 4 ohm...

Pioneer t-3300 deck manual or Belt sizes needed

Just got this interesting deck, and it works but shuts off shortly after pressing play. I believe it's the Counter belt broken. I can see 2 of the belts clearly, but the counter belt is behind all the circuitry. Looking for a manual or Belt sizes if i can find them. Thanks!

    AR 2A Cabinet

I had to repair 1 Woofer tear, and Re-glue the cones to the Basket with E6000. That all worked great. Mid's are " Wrinkled" presumably because they stuff insulation into the enclosure, but no rips or issues. I read this is common. No Negative sound effects. Pot's needed to be cleaned, but were...

    AR 2A Cabinet

I've been looking on the Web at how to coat unfinished Pine, and ill take the challenge I think. Worst case, Ill have to Veneer them, Best case, They might look at least original enough to be interesting. Now if I can locate that other Pin on A Badge for one of the grills, Ill have saved a nice...

    AR 2A Cabinet

They are definitely Plywood. 1'st and 2'nd pictures are the same speaker. both looked like the 1'st before i stripped them. I'm hoping a good sanding and varnish will be all that's needed to make them acceptable. I've done the work to get them sounding great, but i have limited refinishing...

    AR 2A Cabinet

Pine it is then. No wonder they tried to paint it. Maybe i can get them presentable by conditioning the wood and poly-ing them. Thanks!

    AR 2A Cabinet

Quick question.. I have a pair of AR 2A's i just recapped, Resealed, and they sound great. I started to strip off some terrible White Paint, and when I'm finished, id like to either Stain or Poly the cabinets. Anyone have a guess as to what wood grain this is? I thought Birch, but maybe pine...

    Quick AR 2A questions

That Pliobond looks interesting but i can't find it locally. I will wait for Roy's product to seal the surrounds for sure. I couldn't locate it on his Auction site page. I only need to Re-glue the cone to the basket, and don't need to seal it for any reason. I'm thinking L-pads to keep my...
