Neither speaker has a refined sound, in my opinion very few would take the 7's over the 9's.

The 9's are the big dogs, the king of the hill for Cerwin Vegas. You will take the 9's, unless cosmetically they are trash.

Ok. If push the 8khz filter in and I put it in mono, everything works fine. I am trying to troubleshoot it, I'm not sure if a cleaning will do it or it needs to be repaired.

I used my headphones and I still have only one channel. What does that mean exactly? Thanks for the help

When I put the receiver in mono, I get sound through both channels. Maybe it's time to tear into it and start cleaning.

2 yrs ago it was completely cleaned and put into spec, by a well known tech. So I wonder if there could be another problem.

I am not getting anything out of the right channel. When I push in the 8kHZ filter button, both channels work. What is my next course of action? Thanks

Get a bunch of wood door shims and work your way around the table, slowly tapping each one. This will work. You just gotta go slow and take your time. Put some rags under the shims so there is no scratching. The platter will pop up in less than 10 minutes.
