You need adapters for the 807s. Higher sensitive speakers will yield much better results with the MP.

Believe me, even first designs can be improved over time.

The Magi was made by Mark Voight. His tube phono preamps are better known and highly regarded. I dont think he makes them any more.

I don't neccesarily buy into that logic. The first designs may be good, but there could always be improvements in later versions. Like software. Tweaks can and have been made. I am looking at 1950s tubes mostly.

I've ordered a pair of Sylvania 6sl7WGTs and Sylvania VT-229s. Will try and hear what differences they may bring.

For the eminence tweeters I have for my open baffles I am using the 1.5uf Dayton caps. I want to play around with other varying caps to see if I can open them up a little more, but not overly so. What would be the next one in line that I should look for? A 1.0uf or ?
