Ok, This might not be as bad as I thought. I realized that I’ve been streaming music from my phone over WiFi to my DAC. Which is not good quality. I played a number of CDs this morning and a couple LPs and neither hurt my hearing nearly as bad as the phone stream.

A friend of mine back in Michigan, had the Soundlab A1 (I’m fairly certain they were A1s) and wanted the 845s so sold the A1 panels and used the power supplies for the 845. My point is there may be panels out there for sale and you build the power supplies….which I know you can build.
I have enjoyed this passion since I was 10 years old. I am now 68 and my tinnitus flares up so bad when I listen to music in my room, I simply don’t listen anymore.
Interestingly, I can listen to music with earbuds and the flare up is very mild.
I’m sad about all this because I build so...
Pro drivers and compression drivers are used in high end audio all the time. They may be in fancy cabins but the high quality is a boon. Maybe replace the caps and drive them with good amps and I think you will be very happy.
I really like my 300B driven with the 26 tubes. It had hum pots and when adjusted, there was a hint of hum but I couldn’t hear it as soon as the music played.
Hi Dennydog, I just stumbled upon this thread. I used the same cabinets for my speakers. They are Barzily cabs with Lamda TD15 woofers. The Edgarhorns have JBL2441 CD on the back. And the tweets are ESS AMTs.
