I have the new AirPod pro and use them mostly on the bus commuting to work. They are fabulous for that, particularly in the afternoon when the noisy teenagers are going home from school. Good on music and the noise reduction is excelllent

I have a lot of old amps and speakers, but DAC and sources are new. Seems to work best that way for me as cost vs performance. I do worry about the lead-free solder and repairability of more modern equipment, but perhaps the better pars are more reliable. Though at 65 now perhaps it doesn't...

The timber is arched from what I can see but to get at it I would need to strip away the foam the EMIT on has some foam behind but I haven't taken it away to see properly I suspect that the wooden frames are planed to create the arches He foam is pretty old so It may be that I need to replace...

The foam roughly measures 24" by 29" Both the EMIMs and EMITs are arched the EMIMs are more noticible
