Just picked up a set of ESS AMT 3 rock monitors. Have learned alot here so TU. Used to have some AMT speakers in college and should never have sold them. Just built a basic theatre room and I wanted to get the ESS sound going again.

I got these grills thinking they would fit a pair of Tempest Classic speakers I have. But they are to small. They measure 13" x 13" x 13 1/2". Just wondering if anybody here knows what they are for. I took some pics of different angles.

For sale on my local CL. Looks to be in great shape other than one of the front 12s needs refoaming. I can't seem to see where one has sold in the past or what the original retail price was. I've heard very good things about ESS and Heil tweeters as a whole.

I'm looking into possibly picking up a pair of Heil AMT-3 speakers for about $175 from a local fellow. He said they work and sound fine, but the covers are gone, the mid-range and woofers were replaced (Golden-Ear) and crossovers are "questionable." Worth the asking price? Any reviews on them...
