1/4" or 1/8" panel jack

I'm building a headphone amp. I'll install a 1/4" panel jack (female). I"m wondering if there would be any benefit to installing a 1/8" jack, in addition, while I'm at it.

(Not sure how I'd wire it, but I'd cross that bridge if I decided to do it.)

I'd put them both on the front panel. Just parallel the connections.

Adaptors are never ideal, they get loose, swing around and hit things and are easy to damage.

For the sake of simplicity and backward compatibility, i'd just go with a 1/4 jack and get a few of these. I've got this type of adapters everywhere. They stick out maybe 1/4" and are as solid and simple as a rock. Never had a problem after using them for many years.

I use a right angle version of the same thing with a Little Dot MKII.
