Any idea what those sold for in '56? I'm guessing they were a little spendy for the average guy back then.

did your futura have a shellack coating on it before restoration?

what bulbs did you use for the dial face? I'm thinking of modifying some fuse type bulbs for my electra. I'm not sure if they are 12v or 6v?

I had a futura once. 1967 ford falcon futura.

Ebay. Type 501-D7 into the search box and look for needledaddy. There was some guy selling both the 0.7 mil and 3 mil diamond stylus together for $29.95 but I don't see his ads there now.

I love my RPX cartridge for playing old monos and 78s.

turntableneedles.com has the 501 .7 stereo tip for 19.95 and the Mono 1mil tip for 23.95.

Click find my needle, then the needle finder box, then GE, then any of the RPJ prefix. You'll get the 501 needle. Then you can decide on the .7 or the 1mil mono.

KABUSA has pfanstiel 501's for $15.95.
