I do think it takes a certain kind of room and ancillary gear to show those speakers to best affect and a typical living room on a crawl space foundation and a 70s Pioneer receiver ain't them.
Furthermore the person who purchases a set of these is chasing a very particular dragon.
Based on looks, I would choose #19. I also liked the minimalist styling of #4. If I was allowed to choose just one set to keep for free, I would have to go with the dark star. They do look cool, have a great name, and are worth a million bucks! How could you go wrong?
I would instead take the Martin Logan Neolith. It is near $75k if I am not mistaken. If I am going to spend anywhere near that amount, it is going to be something I actually want.Is there anyone that would NOT choose any of these?
Well, at least one is a handsome looking speaker.

The $25k I save can be spent on a French maid service to come in once a week and dust them.
I heard those ML's at Axpona last year and enjoyed the experience very much.
They were powered with the latest and greatest Mac's.
Many in the crowded room were very impressed.
I totally get the e stats with tubes, believe me...
